Nikolas Levantis

20161207 161439 330x299Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1989, Nikolas holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Marine Engineering from Newcastle University Upon Tyne and Strathclyde University in Glasgow, respectively. Nikolas is fluent in Greek & English. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

He has attended a three months formal training in ABS where he became familiar with the implementation of Class rules and IMO regulations and has attended various surveys.

Nikolas has also gained sea going experience, initially as an apprentice engineer on various types of vessels and later serving as a third engineer on large oil tankers. He participated in major machinery overhauls and repairs, as well as taking delivery and sailing on a new Suezmax tanker.  During this period he has also developed skills concerning inspections' requirements and port regulations.

Alexandros Levantis

Alexandros LevantisBorn in Sunderland, England in 1986, Alexandros graduated as a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer from NTUA and holds an M.Sc. in Maritime Economics and Logistics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

He carries out both condition and damage surveys, whilst prior to LevMar, he gained experience in many disciplines of the maritime industry, including working for a Classification Society(ABS), workshop repairs, marine insurance claims handling, shipping company's technical department and spent time at sea as an engineer cadet.

He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and he is fluent in Greek and English. Alexandros is also a Certified Operator qualified for Ultrasonic tightness testing with Class Type Approved Sherlog Master, as well as an associate member of the UK Association of Average Adjusters.

Dinos Levantis

dinos levantisBorn in Alexandria, Egypt in 1960, Dinos has been involved since  the late 80’s in the surveying of many types of floating structures, casualty investigations, salvage operations, towages, and  related  design work for various interests. 

He holds an M.Sc.  from Newcastle University Upon Tyne and he is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. He is fluent in Greek, Italian, English and Arabic.      

He has testified  as a witness of facts on cases involving  insurance matters, in both the High Court of England  and the  Hellenic 1st instance court. Dinos has also been active in several marine arbitrations. 

He has served  as a Regional Director for the Eastern European and the Mediterranean Region,  with Braemar Technical Services and has published two editions of the Guide to Hull & Machinery Technical Terms. Dinos  has also made presentations  on Ocean Waves, and Damage Surveys.
