Dinos Levantis
Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1960, Dinos has been involved since the late 80’s in the surveying of many types of floating structures, casualty investigations, salvage operations, towages, Damage engineering computations and related design work for various interests
He holds an M.Sc. from Newcastle University Upon Tyne and he is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. He is fluent in Greek, Italian,English and Arabic.
He has testified as a witness of facts and expert witness on cases involving insurance matters, in both the High Court of England and the Hellenic 1st instance court. Dinos has also been active in several marine arbitrations.
He has served as a Regional Director for the Eastern European and the Mediterranean Region, with Braemar Technical Services and has published two editions of the Guide to Hull & Machinery Technical Terms. Dinos has also made presentations on Ocean Waves Mechanics , and Damage Surveys.
Nikolas Levantis
Born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1989, Nikolas holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Marine Engineering from Newcastle University Upon Tyne and Strathclyde University in Glasgow, respectively. Nikolas is fluent in Greek & English. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece a received a formal training in ABS where he became familiar with the implementation of Class rules and IMO regulations.
Before joining the team, Nikolas has also gained sea going experience initially as an apprentice engineer on various types of ships and later serving as a third engineer on large oil tankers.
He has experience in major machinery overhauls and carries out H&M and P&I damage surveys and attends as relief superintendent engineer in routine drydockings overseas.
George Katsaros
Born in Corfu Greece in 1996 George holds an M.Sc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
Before joining the team he worked in the technical department of a major shipping company maintaining its PMS and providing daily support with technical problem solving. He was involved in designing ISM technical forms according to engine makers recommendations and manuals.
He is proficient at AutoCad and in engineering computations. He is fluent in Greek and English and has a working knowledge of German.
